Hello, dear writer or artist (I love both forms of fanwork equally)! Thank you for being willing to create for me. The prompts below are suggestions that I hope might inspire your creativity but feel free to adapt or change things and add other elements as well if the story or art seems to require it. As long as you stay away from my hard DNWs and include some of what I do like (though of course you don’t need to include absolutely everything), you’re golden! Though some prompts may seem longer than others, I love these fandoms all just as much as each other and would be equally delighted to receive any one of them as my gift.
As far as writing tenses and POVs and art styles go, I am sure to love anything you come up with. I don't have any DNWs regarding tenses, POV or types of artwork - my only DNWs are those listed below under hard DNWs.
Things I DO like in a story or artwork:
- fluff
- romance
- the deepening of emotional ties between characters
- friendship becoming love
- overcoming and healing from trauma with the help of a loved one (or loved ones or friends or just kind souls)
- hurt/comfort
- angsty scenarios that wind up with a happy or hopeful ending
- strengthening of comradeship bonds and characters being willing to go the extra mile to help someone they care about
- fun and humor
- someone stumbling on an unlikely but completely right for the situation solution when disaster looks likely to be looming
- found families and/or kidfic

- main character death or death of one or both halves of the main pairing

Fandom-Specific Note - If you match on World Wrestling Entertainment, I am quite happy to see dub-con, mind games and some dark imagery, as long as there's no rape or character death. Bray/The Fiend is not exactly fluffy, although I am always happy to see the "creepy but cute" goings on in the Firefly Funhouse! <3
FANDOMS
1) Rise of the Planet of the Apes Movies
Relationship: Caesar/Koba
This fandom and characters have recently become a near-obsession! I am particularly drawn to the character of Koba and all that he has endured – he is a complex character with both horrific flaws and many redeeming features. He turned from an innocent victim into a villain due to his hatred for humans and all the terrible wrongs they had done him, but I believe there was a time when he was happy, especially those 10 years between Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. He was devoted to his leader Caesar then and wanted to please him, before the canon of “Dawn” when he turned against Caesar and everything went to hell.
Some possible ideas/prompts:
- Perhaps the story could be something set in that period between the two first films, the happy times when Koba trusted Caesar and wanted to make him proud, or in an AU where the events of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes never happened and Koba never became an antagonist. It could be something to do with a brotherly-type love that deepens.
- The scarred Koba would likely associate touch with pain due to his sufferings at the hands of humans, but Caesar could persuade him to accept physical affection again (which does not have to include sex, but I will not object if it does, and Caesar re-awakens Koba’s bonobo passions).
- Or Caesar and Koba could go on a hunting trip where the two get separated from the main group and have to huddle for warmth somewhere and rely on each other’s strength; it would be particularly interesting if the roles were reversed and Caesar (wounded perhaps) had to rely on Koba for a change…
2) World Wrestling Entertainment
Relationships:
Bray Wyatt/Seth Rollins
What draws me to this pairing is the way Seth cowered in fear of the Fiend who was attacking Braun Strowman, in the whole lead-up to the challenge for the Universal Championship... what I love about Bray is his dual nature, the sweet but sinister host of the Firefly Funhouse and the terrifying Fiend. I'd like something about mind games, dubious consent, coming to love Bray but lusting after the Fiend, and the whole way the Fiend "changes" people. In canon, we've seen a darker Seth emerge, a cult leader in his own right - how would a darker Seth be as a partner for Bray/The Fiend? Would Funhouse!Bray become the "light" to Seth's "darkness" then?
Bray Wyatt/Daniel Bryan
It was that Strap Match at the Royal Rumble that sold me on these two! The sheer violence and emotional intensity and the fact that Daniel almost triumphed over the Fiend, but in the end could not. I'd love something focusing on that passion and all that emotion and possibly some rough sex... with either man as the top, even! (I'm remembering the strap match and images of the kneeling Fiend actually begging for more pain and therefore showing how much stronger he is... mmm!) Daniel seemed to turn back to the light after his confrontation with the Fiend... how would a relationship between him and Bray look like after this development?
Bray Wyatt/Roman Reigns
Ah, the match we never got! The Fiend vs Roman Reigns... although, of course, Roman did face the earlier, cult leader incarnation of Bray Wyatt. How would Roman stand up against the Fiend and the new, Firefly Funhouse Bray? What sort of mind games would Bray/The Fiend deploy, and would Roman be able to resist? What mental and physical struggles might result, and would Roman succumb to the strange new desires that might be aroused? Could someone the WWE tries to present as a heroic figure be corrupted by these new desires?
Bray Wyatt/Braun Strowman
So much history here! Braun was part of Bray's cult, his "black sheep" (and oh, that "baby boy" tweet <3)... and although he hasn't yet confronted the Fiend, we've already seen Funhouse Bray try to win Braun back and fail... would the Fiend have more success? Would Braun, despite his great physical strength, weaken before the supernatural powers of the Fiend, and how might this occur?
3) Kong: Skull Island
Relationship: James Conrad/Kong
When I first saw the movie, I was intrigued by how Kong not only began to trust and show affection to Mason Weaver, but extended that trust to James Conrad too. What if the relationship between Conrad and Kong deepened, and they developed an understanding based on love as well as trust? It could include adventures and plot, or simply a tender exploration of feelings.
Some possible ideas/prompts:
- I particularly love the sheer size difference between the two and how their love and desire might overcome what initially seem physically impossible.
- Of course, there would be a fascination on both sides with the size differences, and Kong might be curious enough to attempt some delicate grooming behaviour with this tiny human he’s come to love.
- The Iwi seem to regard Kong as a god, so perhaps Conrad too would develop a worshipful attitude to this guardian of Skull Island, and Kong would become a gentle, benevolent god who could perhaps heal some of the pain Conrad carries with him due to his turbulent past.
- And what if Conrad, who may never have made sufficient affectionate ties back in the human world, or may have made them and lost them due to one circumstance or another, finds in Kong the all-encompassing, unconditional love he’s always longed for?
4) Rampage (2018)
Relationship: Davis Okoye/George
Yes, another giant ape/human pairing that I love! But the dynamic between George and Davis is very different than the one between Kong and Conrad. Theirs is an “us against the world” sort of friendship which began with Davis saving George and then with George saving Davis, and they have so many humorous interactions which I love to bits! <3
Some possible ideas/prompts:
- After the Chicago incident, George had his “chill pill” and is now calmed down and his normal sweet self, personality-wise, but the fact remains that he is still a gigantic, super-powerful enhanced ape. And I imagine he wouldn’t be allowed back with the normal sized gorillas for obvious reasons. As gorillas are social animals, that would leave George lonely, stressed and emotionally dependent on Davis for company and affection.
- How would their relationship change and develop after the shocking events both of them have been through?
- Would Davis and George perhaps have to go on the run from the government or other forces that want to capture or destroy George? And perhaps they might discover other monstrous creatures that George may have to battle to protect Davis?
5) Original Work
I’ve requested Original Works for those types of relationships and dynamics that existing canons don’t seem to provide. Although these original works relationships and prompts have a non-human primate theme running through them, the dynamics are all very different and I would be both thrilled and intrigued to receive any one of these as my gift. These are listed in no particular order as are my canon request. Some ideas/prompts will follow each relationship.
Relationships:
Sapient Gorilla/Human Scientist
- I’m into any sort of romantic or erotic relationship here – either PG-13 and gentle with lots of big hugs, or full-on smut and even a bit of consensual D/s with an alpha male silverback gorilla!
- First of all, I’m interested as to how the relationship may have come about. How did the gorilla become sentient – is he an alien being from another planet or alternate universe, or is he genetically enhanced in some way, or some form of magical creature if the world you envision him in has magic in it?
- The human may be the scientist, but who is really studying who? And what does this sentient gorilla think of humanity as a whole? Does he speak, use sign language or some other form of communication like telepathy?
- Do other humans know about this relationship, and what do they think of it if they do?
Merman/Ape-Man
- I’m intrigued by how this would work – in terms of romance, world-building, bodily and cultural differences… and I am pretty flexible with how you’d like to do this one. It can be smutty or just gentle and sweet…
- How would such very different beings navigate a romance? Can they raise young together? How did they meet? What do they find attractive about each other?
- Are their tribes peacefully coexisting or at war? If there is a tribal conflict, perhaps their love could help to overcome it.
King of a Sapient Chimpanzee Tribe/Human Lost in the Forest
- This is another concept that fascinates me… what sort of world do these intelligent chimps live in, and what sort of civilization have they made? How does the human come to be lost, and how does he cope with a tribe of apes who are equally as smart as he is? Either just a gentle romance or full-on erotic passion is fine! :D
- How does the human deal with his attraction to the king, and the king with his attraction to the human?
- Does the human become a guest living peacefully with the tribe, or was he captured initially, or was he rescued and had to be nursed back to health?
- Is the king widowed, perhaps, and seeking a replacement mate – and somehow finds this man to be the most suitable candidate?
Son of the Matriarch of a Sapient Bonobo Tribe/Human Prince
- This is another relationship with great scope for world-building, if you’re into that, and can be gently romantic and PG-rated or very smutty indeed, I’d be happy with either. Bonobos are a species of great apes, renowned for their peaceful nature and pansexuality, and if you need more information about them, here is the Wikipedia page (which has a picture of a very handsome male bonobo if you need visual inspiration for your story or artwork): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonobo
- How did the relationship come to be? Is it an arranged marriage in which the bridegrooms eventually catch feelings for each other (to seal a peace treaty between their two nations, perhaps) or did they meet in another way and fall in love despite their differences?
- What are the human and bonobo cultures like? Are the bonobos simple forest-dwellers or have they developed a sumptuous civilization that puts the human world to shame? And which partner would move to live in the other’s home territory? What cultural adjustments would the pair have to make?
- If the human prince moves to the bonobo prince’s land, how would he relate to his new mother-in-law, a peaceful and loving matriarch? If his own culture was patriarchal and warlike, how would he make the adjustment? Would he passionately embrace his new life from the get-go or be a bit resistant at first?
- Would the physical differences between human and bonobo be an instant point of attraction, or would this take some time to get used to?
Bigfoot-Type Ape-Man/Skeptic Who Didn’t Believe In Bigfoot Till He Met One
- I’m interested in how the relationship might develop here. How does the human go from “Bigfoot doesn’t exist” to “Bigfoot DOES exist” to “Bigfoot is HOT?” Serious or comedic is fine, as is smutty or just plain sweet.
- How did the skeptic get to be out in the forest and meeting a Bigfoot? Is he some kind of scientist, or a hunter or hiker, perhaps? Did he just get into an argument about the existence of Bigfoot with someone and set off to prove a point?
- What does Bigfoot think about the human? How intelligent is the creature? What might his initial reaction be – is he repulsed, intrigued, just wanting the human out of his territory, or what? How does he come to love and desire the human – does he make the first move or does the human man? Can he speak, or do the two of them use some other way to communicate?
Bigfoot/Long-Haul Truck Driver
Again, as above, I'm interested in how the relationship develops, how they learn to communicate and how do such radically different beings become attracted to each other and fall in love? Does the trucker have a thing for big, hairy guys, and does the Bigfoot maybe have a curiosity about, and a burgeoning passion for, humans? How do they communicate and form a connection - is there something they bond over or have in common, or are they just carried away by lust that turns into something more? Does one decide to become part of the other's world, and how do the cultural differences between them play out and get adapted to?
