Hello, dear writer or artist (I love both forms of fanwork equally)! Thank you for being willing to create for me. The prompts below are suggestions that I hope might inspire your creativity but feel free to adapt or change things and add other elements as well if the story or art seems to require it. As long as you stay away from my hard DNWs and include some of what I do like (though of course you don’t need to include absolutely everything), you’re golden! Though some prompts may seem longer than others, I love these ideas all just as much as each other and would be equally delighted to receive any one of them as my gift.
As far as writing tenses and POVs and art styles go, I am sure to love anything you come up with. I don't have any DNWs regarding tenses, POV or types of artwork - my only DNWs are those listed below under hard DNWs.
Things I DO like in a story or artwork:
- fluff
- romance
- the deepening of emotional ties between characters
- friendship becoming love,
- overcoming and healing from trauma with the help of a loved one (or loved ones or friends or just kind souls)
- hurt/comfort
- angsty scenarios that wind up with a happy or hopeful ending
- strengthening of comradeship bonds and characters being willing to go the extra mile to help someone they care about
- fun and humor
- someone stumbling on an unlikely but completely right for the situation solution when disaster looks likely to be looming
- found families and/or kidfic

My hard DO NOT WANTS are:

- main character death or death of one or both halves of the main pairing

- graphic depictions of child or animal abuse (although allusions to those happening in the past are OK if the story requires it)

1) Rise of the Planet of the Apes Movies
Relationships: Caesar/Koba, Caesar/Cornelia/Koba, Caesar/Cornelia/Koba & Blue Eyes
This fandom and characters have recently become a near-obsession! I am particularly drawn to the character of Koba and all that he has endured – he is a complex character with both horrific flaws and many redeeming features. He turned from an innocent victim into a villain due to his hatred for humans and all the terrible wrongs they had done him, but I believe there was a time when he was happy, especially those 10 years between Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. He was devoted to his leader Caesar then and wanted to please him, before the canon of “Dawn” when he turned against Caesar and everything went to hell.
Some ideas: Perhaps the story could be something set in that period between the two films, the happy times when Koba trusted Caesar and wanted to make him proud. It could be something to do with a brotherly-type love that deepens – the scarred Koba would likely associate touch with pain due to his sufferings at the hands of humans, but Caesar could persuade him to accept physical affection again (which does not have to include sex, but I will not object if it does, and Caesar re-awakens Koba’s bonobo passions). Or they could go on a hunting trip where the two get separated from the main group and have to huddle for warmth somewhere and rely on each other’s strength; it would be particularly interesting if the roles were reversed and Caesar (wounded perhaps) had to rely on Koba for a change…
Or perhaps a three-way love could develop between Caesar/Cornelia/Koba? I would like the same time period mentioned above or a scenario where the events of “Dawn” never happened, and to see the characters all involved equally with each other… m/m as well as f/m, and a specific DNW is a submissive Cornelia – I like her strong and fiery! I would be happy with an established relationship angle, with the three characters going about their daily lives and being supportive of one another in their various tasks within the colony, or taking on some task or challenge together, or a getting together scenario where all three are feeling attracted to each other and work out a happy solution to their situation. Koba with his hunting skill and wisdom could be seen as somewhat of a mentor to younger apes, so his help would be invaluable in raising the young Blue Eyes. I do like kidfic so would be quite happy with this sort of a plot where Caesar, Cornelia, Koba and baby Blue Eyes become a family! :D
One note with this fandom – please NO AUs where the characters are human, I want them to stay apes!!!
2) Kong: Skull Island
Relationship: James Conrad/Kong
When I first saw the movie, I was intrigued by how Kong not only began to trust and show affection to Mason Weaver, but extended that trust to James Conrad too. What if the relationship between Conrad and Kong deepened, and they developed an understanding based on love as well as trust? It could include adventures and plot, or simply a tender exploration of feelings.
Some possible ideas/prompts:
I particularly love the sheer size difference between the two and how their love and desire might overcome what initially seem physically impossible.
Of course, there would be a fascination on both sides with the size differences, and Kong might be curious enough to attempt some delicate grooming behaviour with this tiny human he’s come to love.
The Iwi seem to regard Kong as a god, so perhaps Conrad too would develop a worshipful attitude to this guardian of Skull Island, and Kong would become a gentle, benevolent god who could perhaps heal some of the pain Conrad carries with him due to his turbulent past.
And what if Conrad, who may never have made sufficient affectionate ties back in the human world, or may have made them and lost them due to one circumstance or another, finds in Kong the all-encompassing, unconditional love he’s always longed for?
3) Rampage (2018)
Relationship: Davis Okoye/George
Yes, another giant ape/human pairing that I love! But the dynamic between George and Davis is very different than the one between Kong and Conrad. Theirs is an “us against the world” sort of friendship which began with Davis saving George and then with George saving Davis, and they have so many humorous interactions which I love to bits! <3
Some possible ideas/prompts:
After the Chicago incident, George had his “chill pill” and is now calmed down and his normal sweet self, personality-wise, but the fact remains that he is still a gigantic, super-powerful enhanced ape. And I imagine he wouldn’t be allowed back with the normal sized gorillas for obvious reasons. As gorillas are social animals, that would leave George lonely, stressed and emotionally dependent on Davis for company and affection.
How would their relationship change and develop after the shocking events both of them have been through?
Would Davis and George perhaps have to go on the run from the government or other forces that want to capture or destroy George? And perhaps they might discover other monstrous creatures that George may have to battle to protect Davis?

Relationships as follows:
Bigfoot-Type Ape-Woman/Female Cryptozoologist
A cryptozoologist has long believed that the forest houses Bigfoot-type ape people, and at long last she finds them and gets more than she bargained for in the form of an ape-woman who falls in love with her! This can be gently romantic and cuddly or full-on erotic, depending on what you’d like to write as long as everything’s consensual. How does this ape-woman express her love – perhaps her kind are more like bonobos than the gorilla-like creatures they’re often portrayed as? How does she communicate with the object of her affections? Does the human feel any conflict about the attraction she’s suddenly feeling (given that this other woman isn’t human and most people don’t believe her kind exist anyway)? How do they establish a loving relationship anyway in the face of such incredible odds?
Bigfoot-Type Ape-Man/Male Skeptic Who Didn’t Believe In Bigfoot Till He Met One
I’m interested in how the relationship might develop here. How does the human go from “Bigfoot doesn’t exist” to “Bigfoot DOES exist” to “Bigfoot is HOT?” Serious or comedic is fine, as is smutty or just plain sweet.
How did the skeptic get to be out in the forest and meeting a Bigfoot? Is he some kind of scientist, or a hunter or hiker, perhaps? Did he just get into an argument about the existence of Bigfoot with someone and set off to prove a point?
What does Bigfoot think about the human? How intelligent is the creature? What might his initial reaction be – is he repulsed, intrigued, just wanting the human out of his territory, or what? How does he come to love and desire the human – does he make the first move or does the human man? Can he speak, or do the two of them use some other way to communicate?
Mer-Bonobo Queen/Her Female Second-In-Command
The concept is a Mer-Bonobo Queen (a mermaid whose upper half is that of a lovely bonobo ape; these very real apes and the mythical mermaids are among my favorite things) and I have become so intrigued by the idea of the world such an amazing being would inhabit! I’d love something romantic between this queen and her female second in command (real bonobos are a matriarchal society and I’d imagine mer-bonobos would be the same). Romance and seduction in an undersea world full of coral and fish and beautiful oceanic landscapes! <3 What would their love – and the society they live in – be like? How do the two high-ranking ladies take care of their undersea realm and meet the needs of the people who love them and look to them for leadership?
Matriarch of a Sapient Bonobo Tribe/Human Princess
This is another relationship with great scope for world-building, if you’re into that, and can be gently romantic and PG-rated or very smutty indeed, I’d be happy with either. Bonobos are a species of great apes, renowned for their peaceful nature and pansexuality.
How did the relationship come to be? Is it an arranged marriage in which the brides eventually catch feelings for each other (to seal a peace treaty between their two nations, perhaps) or did they meet in another way and fall in love despite their differences?
What are the human and bonobo cultures like? Are the bonobos simple forest-dwellers or have they developed a sumptuous civilization that puts the human world to shame? And which partner would move to live in the other’s home territory? What cultural adjustments would the pair have to make?
If the human princess moves to the bonobo queen’s land, how would she relate to her new wife, a peaceful and loving matriarch? If her own culture was patriarchal and warlike, how would she make the adjustment? Would she passionately embrace her new life from the get-go or be a bit resistant at first?
Would the physical differences between human and bonobo be an instant point of attraction, or would this take some time to get used to?
Sapient Male Gorilla/Male Human Scientist
I’m into any sort of romantic or erotic relationship here – either PG-13 and gentle with lots of big hugs, or full-on smut and even a bit of consensual D/s with an alpha male silverback gorilla!
First of all, I’m interested as to how the relationship may have come about. How did the gorilla become sentient – is he an alien being from another planet or alternate universe, or is he genetically enhanced in some way, or some form of magical creature if the world you envision him in has magic in it?
The human may be the scientist, but who is really studying who? And what does this sentient gorilla think of humanity as a whole? Does he speak, use sign language or some other form of communication like telepathy?
Do other humans know about this relationship, and what do they think of it if they do?
Mermaid/Ape-Woman or Merman/Ape-Man
I'd be happy with either a f/f or m/m interpretation! I’m intrigued by how this would work – in terms of romance, world-building, bodily and cultural differences… and I am pretty flexible with how you’d like to do this one. It can be smutty or just gentle and sweet…
How would such very different beings navigate a romance? Can they raise young together? How did they meet? What do they find attractive about each other?
Are their tribes peacefully coexisting or at war? If there is a tribal conflict, perhaps their love could help to overcome it.
5) Where Are You Now Patty – Lenny Green (Song)
Relationship: Patty the Bigfoot/Her Female Mate
The Patterson-Gimlin film of 1967, and Patty herself, have always fascinated me (I like to hope the film, and she, are/were real…) I love the way she walked in that film, and how she turned back towards the camera as if to say, “You’ve seen what you came to see, now scoot!” And then she hurried off… towards another Bigfoot waiting for her, perhaps? I’d like to imagine this was her mate… another female Bigfoot! <3
How would life be for Patty after the Patterson-Gimlin film was made? Was she ever aware of the controversy she caused? What did she think of humans after seeing two men on horseback up so close? What was her family life like? How did Patty meet the other female Bigfoot, and how did their love develop? Did she and her mate raise children, either their own from previous encounters or relationships with males, or adopted? Do both mates have similar ideas about humans, or is one more curious than the other? If the story or artwork takes place in the future when Patty and her mate are older, how do they feel about their lives and experiences?
